In More Detail
-
A community member ("requester") submits a request on the website.
- No account creation is required.
- An email address is the only personal information collected.
- The request includes what type of clothing box you want.
- A volunteer has bought or acquired the clothing. It is cleaned and packed.
- A volunteer enters the available box into the website.
- A volunteer schedules a distribution time-and-place into the website.
-
The website matches the available clothing box to the request. The website communicates the distribution time-and-place to the requester.
- Requests are filled in a first-come-first-serve order.
- The requester will be notified at least one (1) week in advance.
-
The requester or someone they know picks up the clothing box.
- Anyone can pick up the clothing box for the requester! We do not check ID!
- You just need to bring (1) the Name and (2) the Box Type from the request. This information will be repeated in each email to the requester.
- Please do not take time off of work for this. This is all run by volunteers and some of them will be flaky and will not show up when/where they said they would.
- If the requester cannot pick up their box, we will try again at the next distribution event.
-
At this point, the clothing is your property. We will not contact you again after your request is fulfilled. We hope that you will re-gift the clothes or return them to the library when you're done with them. Check back here for our donation events.
- We do not keep records of who we have given clothing boxes to.
- We delete your email address from our system as soon as the request is fulfilled.
- We will never contact you asking about the clothes.
-
The requester can return the clothing and box to the clothing library (if they want to) once they are done with them.
- Damaged clothing will be repaired or removed from circulation.
- The clothing will be cleaned and packed and sent out to another requester.
